Elite Business Connections Supports Merry Moments with $1,000 Community Contribution

Elite Business Connections exists for one primary reason: to help our members grow strong, relationship-based businesses. But woven into that purpose is something equally important—showing up for our community in meaningful, tangible ways.

This month, EBC members voted unanimously to allocate $1,000 in support of the Merry Moments program, a local initiative dedicated to spreading love, dignity, and holiday joy to local seniors and veterans who might otherwise be overlooked during the Christmas season 

What Is Merry Moments?

Now in its third year, Merry Moments is organized in partnership with The Venue at the Reed’s Christmas Crew and focuses on creating thoughtful, personalized holiday experiences for seniors and veterans in our community.

Rather than generic donations, the program centers around wish lists, allowing individuals and organizations to “adopt” a senior or veteran and provide meaningful gifts, food, and clothing items—reminding them they are seen, valued, and remembered during the holidays.

The program also offers multiple ways to participate, including:

  • Adopting a senior or veteran
  • Donating funds for shopping support
  • Volunteering during gift assembly and delivery days
  • Supporting the “Grandma’s Fund,” which helps cover essential clothing needs

It’s a hands-on, heart-forward initiative that aligns closely with EBC’s values of service, connection, and local impact.

A Program Brought to EBC by Kim Fisbeck

This opportunity was brought to Elite Business Connections by Kim Fisbeck, whose passion for community service and advocacy for seniors and veterans sparked immediate interest and support among our members.

Kim didn’t just share a flyer—she shared the why behind the program. She helped the group understand how even a modest contribution could directly impact real people in our community. That clarity made the decision easy.

Because of Kim’s leadership and initiative, EBC was able to step forward collectively and say, yes—this matters.
